LIFE COVER AND FINANCIAL PROTECTION
Life is unpredictable. Your plans needn't be. Protect who matters most.

For peace of mind
We insure our cars, our possessions, even our holidays, but often overlook what matters most: our income, our health and our lives. The right protection means that if the worst happens, your family, your home and your plans are looked after. We'll help you find cover that fits your circumstances, without paying for more than you need.
What are the options
Life insurance
Life insurance protects the people you love from the financial cost of losing you.
Income protection
Cover that replaces part of your earnings if illness or injury stops you working, so the bills get paid while you focus on getting better.
Critical illness cover
A lump sum that pays if you're diagnosed with a serious condition
Whole of life insurance
This cover pays out whenever you die, not just within a set term, making it a dependable way to leave a legacy or help your family meet an Inheritance tax bill.
Reviewing existing cover
Cover that suited you then may not suit you now, so we check your existing policies for gaps, overlaps, value and fit.
Protection for every stage of life

Young families
Young families have the most depending on them and the least to fall back on, which is exactly when protection matters most.

Homeowners
A mortgage is usually your biggest commitment, and protection helps make sure your home stays yours whatever happens.

Business owners
If your business couldn't run without you or a key colleague, protection helps keep it trading, and your family provided for, if the worst happens.

Leaving a legacy
Whether it settles the inheritance tax bill or leaves a lump sum, whole of life cover helps more of what you've built stay with the people you love.
Life cover and financial protection: your questions answered
What types of protection do you advise on?
Life insurance, critical illness cover and income protection, as well as cover for specific needs such as meeting a future inheritance tax bill. We look at what you already have, including any cover through work, before recommending anything new.
How much cover do I need?
Enough to look after the people who depend on you if the worst happens: clearing debts such as a mortgage, replacing lost income and meeting future costs like school fees. We work it out from your actual finances rather than a rule of thumb, so you're neither over- nor under-insured.
Should my life insurance be written in trust?
Often, yes. A policy written in trust can usually pay out without waiting for probate, and in many cases the proceeds fall outside your estate for inheritance tax. We'll explain whether a trust suits your circumstances and help you set it up.
How are you paid for protection advice?
At Cross Keys Wealth, we don't take commission on insurance: you pay us a transparent fee instead and we will always provide you a fee comparison before you proceed.
